ImpulsTanz, Burgtheater [ENA] The ones who admire performances of Pina Bausch, one of the most well-known and disputable modern ballet creator of nowadays, do so for surrealistic, almost grotesque representation of the world of various scenes from everyday life which are virtuously performed by dancers of the Theater Wuppertal.

Pina Bausch and Theater Wuppertal conquered the place at the arts Olymp in 1970ies, since then Pina is known as one of the most important choreographers of her time. Among her works are so important world classics in her modern interpretation as Orpheus and Eurydike, Iphigenie in Tauris or Le sacre du printemps of Strawinsky. Feelings and empathy are at the center of each creation of Pina. Pina was mainly interested not in how people are moving but in what is moving them. For her, the most important was to express feelings of various people. The idea of deliberation of the body and of the soul, the search for love, tenderness and trust are at the center of her works. All these feelings which make a human being Human with the big letterhead

The performance Full moon was developed in the year 2006, three years before the death of Pina Bausch and is one of her last masterpieces. This is a very strong performance about love. Love is a game of seduction and defense, with poses and traps, in which ghosts even appear under the full moon. The stage in black color with a huge boulder at the back and a real river at the stage create the mood of the nature. It was created by Peter Pabst. During the performance even heavy rain comes down to the stage.

The performance is given by Dean Biosca, Naomi Brito, Silvia Farias Heredia, Ditta Miranda Jasjfi, Alexander López Guerra, Nicholas Losada, Héléna Pikon, Azusa Seyama, Ekaterina Shushakova, Julie Anne Stanzak, Reginald Lefevbre, Christopher Tandy. The dancers in search of love express their feelings in a form of in the form of wild water games, run after their longings in the wet, splash on the ground, work themselves out to the point of exhaustion.

The ImpulsTanz festival is an international dance festival which takes place every summer in Vienna. The festival ImpulsTanz was founded in 1984 and since then evolved to one of the largest festivals for contemporary dance performance in the world, which attracts spectators from various countries. This year is it ongoing in various locations across the city from the 7th of July until the 7th of August.
